Rachel Eisen believes in building healthy, collaborative workplaces at organizations that create thriving Jewish life. She is thrilled to join BaMidbar to help elevate wellness and mental health work in the Jewish community.
Prior to BaMidbar, Rachel was at Mayyim Hayyim for eight years, most recently as Chief Operations and Advancement Officer. Previously, she worked in student engagement at Brown RISD Hillel. Rachel holds dual MAs from Brandeis’s Hornstein Program in Jewish Professional Leadership and a BA from Vassar College. She has studied at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, the Shalom Hartman Institute, and Hebrew College, and was selected for UpStart’s Change Accelerator, JWI’s Women’s Leadership Project, and Schusterman’s Leading From Within Fellowship.
Rachel co-founded Mentoring for Equity, a national initiative connecting women-identified Jewish communal professionals in mentoring relationships. She also volunteers with the Gender Equity in Hiring Project and is a member of the New Israel Fund New England Regional Council.
