As we prepare for the Days of Awe, days of deep introspection and self-reflection, we face a challenging task. Despite the challenges we face, last week’s Torah portion reminds us that we can do it; we are capable. From all of us here BaMidbar, we are wishing you the opportunity to internalize the Torah’s words, “it is not hidden from you, nor is it beyond your reach” (Deuteronomy 30:11) in this sweet new year.

L’Shana Tova and Shabbat Shalom!

From Zoom Fatigue to Digital Simcha:

Using Experiential Education in Online Facilitation
September 30th & October 7th, 5:00-6:30 PM MST

Back by popular demand, we are offering this course for a second time! As we settle into a world of virtual interaction, video conferencing, and Zoom fatigue, professionals are struggling with creative and engaging online facilitation. This course will explore how we translate experiential education principles into online facilitation, and will offer strategies to help increase engagement from participants during online meetings and events. We will model synchronous experiential activities and uses of common online collaborative tools that have the potential to encourage participation and maximize the group experience.

Facilitation for Resilience

October 13th & October 20th, 5:00-6:30 PM MST

Resilience is a commonly used term, but the concept of resilience can be clouded by ambiguity and generalizations. As a result, it can be challenging to know how we as professionals can help the young people we work with become more resilient. This course will offer tangible definitions and frameworks to understand resilience, and participants will learn evidence-based experiential facilitation strategies that promote resilience in students. The course will also include activities, discussion, and reflection to help professionals integrate these concepts into their personal and professional life.
