FROM BAMIDBAR'S CEO

Dear BaMidbar Community,

I am honored and thrilled to introduce myself as the new CEO of BaMidbar.

With a background in social work and a deep commitment to supporting the mental health and wellness of our Jewish teens and young adults, I am excited to lead BaMidbar into its next phase of growth and impact.

As we look to the future, our work as providers of mental health resources, education, tools, and support has never been more critical.

In today’s social climate, Jewish teens and young adults are facing unprecedented challenges, not just in terms of their mental well-being but also in navigating their Jewish identities. It behooves all of us—Jewish leaders, educators, and parents—to be present, engaged, and proactive in investing in the positive mental health of the next generation.

BaMidbar is uniquely positioned to meet this need.

As the premiere organization focused on mental health education and resource development within Jewish communities, we are committed to empowering Jewish teens and young adults to thrive, build resilience, and face these challenges with strength and support.

I want to take a moment to express my deep respect and admiration for Jory Hanselman Mayschak, BaMidbar’s founding CEO. Over the past eight years, Jory’s leadership has established BaMidbar as a trailblazer in Jewish teen and young adult mental health education, clinical services, and outdoor adventure therapy.

Jory’s vision and dedication have built the foundation from which we will continue to grow and expand our impact.

I am eager to work alongside BaMidbar’s incredible team, partners, and supporters as we continue to provide invaluable services to Jewish communities nationwide.

Together, we can ensure that Jewish teens and young adults—and the adults who guide them—have the tools, support, and education they need to build a bright and resilient Jewish future.

With Gratitude,

Whitney Fisch, MSW
CEO
